Team Events

Team events will start on Sunday the 6th February at 9.00am.

There are three days scheduled for Team events: Sunday, Monday and Wednesday.

Events will follow a similar timetable and frequency as contested at the St Louis World Cup 1998.

The events are as follows:

  • Team Accuracy
  • Team Aussie Round
  • Team Relay
  • Team Endurance Relay
  • Team Supercatch
  • Team Trick Catch/Doubling
  • Team MTA

The rules are available here.

Rule change proposals are posted here.

The emphasis will be on having a smooth fun tournament. Similar rules will apply as previous world cups. The two competitors throwing within 5 seconds during Aussie Round and Accuracy will be maintained.

It is envisaged that up to five Aussie Round Circles may be possible given the size of the grounds.

A rule book will be published and made available for comment by the 31st August 1999.

Tuesday will be scheduled as a rain day with the Individual Tournaments starting on Thursday. The grounds are used for cricket matches from 1pm on Saturdays. It is important that we vacate the grounds fully by 12pm on Saturday 12th February. It will be possible to utilise the grounds on the Sunday for demonstrations, completions of individual events or Long Distance.

A separate Long Distance Tournament is scheduled for Tuesday 8th February commencing at 10.00 am. Two round will be contested comprising of five throws each round. Competitors must qualify in the First round to enable entry to the second round. If Tuesday is used as a rain delay then the event may be shifted to Saturday AM or Sunday AM time permitting.
