Cutting the Moulding

Procedure:

1. Calculate your external sizes for your frame.

2. Place the moulding into the saw with the back edge away from you and the bottom edge firmly into the saw.

3. Cut a small piece off the moulding at 45.

4. Remove the moulding from the saw.

5. Measure the external size you wish to cut on your moulding and mark that size with a pencil mark on the back edge.

6. Put the moulding back into the saw, lining up the pencil mark with the centre calibration on the saw.

7. Cut the mitre in the moulding.

8. Without removing the moulding, swing the saw around and cut the other mitre so that it is facing the right way.

9. Remove the moulding from the saw.

10. Transfer the size of the length you have just cut to the back of the moulding with a pencil by placing the two pieces back to back.

11. Repeat the cutting and measuring process for the other pieces required.

12. When you have cut all your pieces you can procede to joining your frame.
